Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Is this a new monitor or new computer, etc.?

Is your HP computer a laptop or desktop?

Does it have windows xp, vista, or 7 or 8 or 10?

Is the HP computer currently working?

If the Samsung monitor is not connected to the computer, and does it show blue screen or black screen when it's on?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

This is a used monitor that I have not previously used with this desktop computer.
I am wanting to use it with the computer.
Windows 7 pro is the operating system.
The computer is up to date with all updates and free of malware and viruses.
The Sansung Syncmaster 320px monitor shows a blue screen when on and not hooked to the computer.
And, it shows a blue screen when connected also.

Thank you.

1. Was this Samsung monitor working fine previously on another computer? And/or is this monitor currently working fine with another computer (desktop or laptop)?

2. Is the Windows 7 Pro desktop computer currently working fine with another monitor?

3. Can you please confirm the brand and model of the Windows 7 Pro Desktop computer?

4. When you go to Display / resolution setting in Control Panel, does it detect the monitor or not?

5. Are you trying to set up only one monitor on the desktop computer? Or are you trying to set up multiple monitors on the desktop computer? If using multiple computers, if you shut down the desktop, then connect only the Samsung monitor, does it work or not?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

This Samsung monitor was working fine with another computer. I don't have access to that computer.
The Windows 7 Pro desktop computer is working fine with my AOC 24 inch monitor.
HP Compac 6005 Pro Small Form Factor, product # *****#ABA
When I plug in the Syncmaster monitor (it does not connect) so I cannot go to Control Panel.
If I go to Control with the AOC monitor, it does not detect the Syncmaster because it is not plugged in.
I am not using multiple computers. the Samsung is not recognized when it is plugged in.
I am only trying to set up the Syncmaster as my monitor. One monitor and one computer.
Could this be as simple as needing a HD cable instead of the normal RGB?
Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 11 months ago.

Are you using the same VGA (RGB) cable for connecting the AOC 24 inch monitor to the computer? Please let me know. Thank you.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I am using the same cable.

Thank you. Please turn off computer, then connect monitor and turn all on, then press the Input button on the monitor and check. Please see image below.

By the way, do you have a DVI cable or not?

Please let me know. Thank you.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
When I did that previously nothing showed up on the screeen.
I don't have a DVI cable but I will go buy one and then get back to you.
Expert:  Viet - Computer Tech replied 11 months ago.

The VGA port and the DVI port on the monitor can both be used to connect to the computer.

Does your computer have a DVI port?

The VGA port on the monitor could be bad. Or the Samsung monitor could be bad.

OK, please try with DVI port / cable to confirm.

Please let me know. Thank you.
