I have made several attempts, left restore running even over night. It just stalls at Office installing...
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, what exactly happens now when you start it George?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It processes to step 36/53 Installing Office 2010 and freezes at that point. I do not want Office. Originally it may had the Office Trial but I never ordered it.

Thanks, ***** ***** is not Office its the hard drive George. First, you cannot bypass this, but the issue is that the sectors that its trying to access has faulted and its not able to read the data, which is why it freezes. This is a hardware fault.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the Aspire to have the hard drive replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
