Customer Question

I used the free upgrade to Windows 10. I was having trouble using it so I did a restore to Windows 7. Now I cannot get my cursor to move and cannot get pass the Welcome screen. Neither the mouse nor the keyboard cursor pad are working. How do I fix this?

Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist.

See if you can at least get the machine to start in Safe Mode.

Start or restart the machine and as soon as you see the manufacturer's logo on the screen, start tapping the F8 key

(this has to be done before Windows tries to start) You should be brought to a black advanced boot options screen.

Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and press Enter. This loads Windows with just basic drivers so your keyboard and mouse should work at this point.
