I am unable to successfully load the head set to my computer. I have tried several times and given the notice, it was unsuccessful. I have a HP model p6774y, AMD Phenom 11 x4 840 T 2.90 gz processor with 6.00 GB of RAM, 64 pit operating system, Windows 7

It is the headset that came with the Rosetta Stone package. It is recognized under the phone setup of the software as "Realtek High Defini - master volume. My HP computer has two inserts, one for microphone one for head phones. I placed the only plug in the microphone insert.

Yeah, you need a splitter.. Right now your headset has the mic and sound combined into one plug. You laptop has inputs for each.. You need this to make your headset work with your laptop.
