For Online Computer Support, Ask a Computer Technician
Hello and thank you for choosing just answer.
I am checking on thisright now.
After dialing the number it just places you on hold, stating agents are busy, and to stay on the line for the next available agent.
Never does it state WHO (what company) you are calling.
Once I get an agent on the line I will ask, and report back.
But I honestly don't think its for MICROSOFT, they have a completely different number.
Is that the only question you have?
The message finally changed to allow me to leave a voicemail for an agent to call me back.
I am waiting for a call back.
But I did search through the list of Microsoft phone numbers I have, and those I found online, and NONE of them match the number you listed.
At this point, I have NO IDEA who that number is ***** I am 99.99% sure it is NOT for Microsoft.
And I found this CALL REPORT for that number with a customer response.
They say it must be a scam, as they call from that number saying they are Microsoft.
Again, I am 99.99% sure, it aint Microsoft!
Did you still need help with this question?
It is absolutely a scam a very common one. Microsoft even warns about it on their website here http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx
