I would suggest you try reinstalling the touchpad driver.

Please go to the link below, select Drivers & Updates, and then select Touchpad from the left pane.

Then, click on Synaptics Touchpad driver.

Then, click on Download, download and install the driver.

FYI: I was using my computer mouse pad and then it went out. I checked things out, updated some drivers, but nothing. The disabled lite appeared on my mouse pad. I used my wireless mouse.
Today, the disabled lite was not lit on my mouse pad but it still doesn't work.
