Was your last computer windows 7? If not the product might not work in windows 7. The current version of the product is CS6 and that was back in 2012. The version you have is fairly old. If it was working in XP here a few alterantives.

Another question. Does it seem to run but wont activate? Do you have the old pc that you can deactivate it from?

To deactivate the old so you can run it again see.
