Customer Question

I just replaced the battery in my Dell Lattitude. Now it won't connect to the internet wirelessly at all, and won't behave properly when connected with a cable. I already paid for a remote, which turned out to be a joke. I had such a good experience with
you helping me before...

Have you tried a system restore?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have had a very tough afternoon so far trying to get this working. We just replaced the battery in it, would a system restore be a good step now?
Expert:  Terry replied 1 year ago.

Go to start / run fill in / rstrui.exe

Expert:  Terry replied 1 year ago.

changing the battery shouldn't have anything to do with the system files so yes that is a good start.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Windows cannot find 'rstrui.exe'
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can get to restore through system tools - same thing?
Expert:  Terry replied 1 year ago.

My brain is frazzled - I have been waiting for it to update, but in order to do that I have to switch the cable from the PC (which we are talking on) to the laptop. If I lose you, how do I get you back again? This is where things started heading south about lunchtime.....
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I have to UNDO the system restore. The laptop just can't seem to stumble out of it's own way. It can't connect to anything other than the home page on the internet - can't read mail, can't find your website.... I'm going back to it now to undo the restore, but I wanted to give you an update. Thank you
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i HIT A BRICK WALL. I can't undo the restore, can't upgrade to IE 8. IE 7 won't to anything much at all except tell me to upgrade....
Expert:  Terry replied 1 year ago.

Sorry about taking so long.

If you can bring up google web page fill in Adobe test. Click on Shockwave player If it finishes click on Test Flash Player If that gets installed Then try your web pages it can't get to.

Just wondering the status on your question. Did reinstalling Shockwave player and flash player do the trick?
