My wife has forgotten her password when trying to log in

My wife has forgotten her password ***** trying to log in there is a statement that requires a microsoft password. Her user name is (*****@******.***),however it is appearing as (*****@******.***). I have tried to reset it as they explained on account.live.com/password ***** with no sucess. What else can I do?
