i have Google Chrome installed on my HP desk top comp. #1, don't know how to use all the extra features it supposedly offers, because I'm no "techie". It seemed to be working alright and then I think I accidentally hit some key when I was doing some typing prior to attempting to download something and it would not allow me to download whatever it was. I tried doing what it suggested as a way to "fix" it, but I've got to tell you, I might as well have been trying to read Greek as far as understanding what it was telling me! HELP! Donna

I am certainly NOT saying there is no issue with Google Chrome right now I'm saying that ANY time I try to download something it will not allow me to, therefore it IS a continuing problem! The next time I will try to download something it will not allow it. How do I make whatever adjustment necessary to fix it?

Then as a first step of troubleshooting, i request you to Reset Chrome settings. This is how you want to do it..

1: Open Google Chrome Browser

2: In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu

3: Select Settings

4: At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.

5: Under the section "Reset settings,” click Reset settings.

In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

This resets Chrome browser. Now close Google Chrome and reopen, Check it if you can download things..

5: There you can see Privacy Section, under find and uncheck this option "Enable Phishing and malware protection"
