My carbonite program keeps telling me that I need to go

My carbonite program keeps telling me that I need to go online. But I am online. He hooked up to my pc and after an hour gave up. Says its a windows firewall problem. After all that time here is a sample of the error codes.
2384:CSocketCreate: Socket create failed, error = 10106

Also i get a " this page can not be displayed"

Could not contact the carbonite server.This might be because you have a firewall or other software that is installed that is blocking the connection. ----" Have malwarebytes and pcmatic for over a year and had no problems with carbonite. Also have norton 360 which is controlling windows firewall apparently.

just before all this happened the internet may have went down. I did something ( don't remember ) and the pc date went back to jan 1 2005. I manualy reset it.

Have you tried with System Restore to restore Windows and program settings to a previous point in time when all worked fine?

You probably have several different restore points available. You can try with another restore point.

Miro the only restore point i had was from the day before which did not solve the problem.
