Sir/Ma'am that looks like product key not model number or service tag.I will guide you to how to find the model and service tag.
Is this desktop or laptop PC?
The Service Tag is a 7-character code, and the Express Service Tag is a 10-digit code that is a numeric version of the Service Tag. Both codes will probably be located on the back of the computer case, but can also be located on the top or side of the system.
Thank you for the service tag number.Your desktop model is Inspiron 660s.Please check if that is mentioned anywhere on the desktop tower.
Please restart the PC and press F12 key repeatedly when it shows Dell start-up logo and see if that open boot device list.
Let me know.
Sure take your time.Is the problematic PC next to you?
Can you please send the boot order one after another
Is that the only device listed in the boot device list?
No hard drive listed in it?
No that is not it either restart the PC again and press F2 key repeatedly when you see the Dell start-up logo, see if that open Bios set-up screen and please let me know the menu names in it
In that can you see main menu and in that main menu you can find SATA Information.
Please let me know the device type and id of SATA1 and SATA2
what all info is listed in it does it show Device type and device ID ?
Are you in SATA information screen if so what are the information it shows under SATA1 ?
OK WD10EZEX is the hard drive name is ***** ***** in SATA 1 OR 2?
OK good. Now go to boot menu and in boot mode let me know the 1st,2nd and 3rd boot devices listed
OK the settings seems to be correct. Now exit from BIOS set-up and once again restart and press F12 key repeatedly when you see the Dell start-up screen that will open boot device list from see if it shows HDD WDC WD10EZEX-752F5AO or Internet HDD.let me know
OK that you mentioned already before so no INTERNAL HDD DEVICES or HDD WDC WD10EZEX-752F5AO listed in that boot device list ?
Is it possible for you take a picture of the boot device list and send it to me using the paper clip icon in this chat conversation page?
I can understand your frustration i was trying to see if the hard drive is booting as 1st boot device from the information you gave it seems like it has failed to do so because the hard drive had become faulty. If you do not want to continue further i can understand i will request to close
