Hello! I am IT Miro and I will assist you on this question.

Are you trying to upgrade to Windows 10?
If so, what is the current Windows version you are using?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I currently had windows 7 home version installed...
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
rather have a print out, as I will have to respond someway to the downloading of win. 10 to correct this matter!
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Please restart your computer. Let me know if Windows 7 can still load as before.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
my computer still loads as before the installation began of windows 10
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Do you see the progress (percentage) there, or any other sign of activity?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It would appear that due to shutting down my computer the download has re-started with about 8% only done..
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK. Is the progress moving or it just stopped?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it shows the download is moving -is now 13% but is showing download in progress- we were in the installation mode!
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK, let is re-download the files and check if it will install.

If not, let me know. There is another way of installing Windows 10.

I let the installation go ahead. but it still failed when it came to the error of download 80070057. I must admit I have no idea how to correct this problem! I would have thought windows could have anticipated that all would be not 100% good in all areas! Please respond! I am loosing faith in their downloading !

It looks like you will need to use alternative Windows 10 upgrade method.

Now when the upgrade/download has failed, are you able to access Windows 7?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It would appear that windows 7 is still in operation! What exactly would I need to access?
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK, great. Hold on. I will provide the instructions for another upgrade method.

Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Since the previous upgrade method has failed, there is another way of upgrading to Windows 10 – you can use the Windows 10 media creation tool.

It is free and can be downloaded on this link:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Run the tool and choose the first option there - Upgrade this PC now.

Follow the instructions and it will allow you to upgrade to Windows 10 with no errors messages.

I used the same tool to upgrade my computer to Windows 10 and it worked just fine.

You can also use the same tool to create a Windows 10 installation media used for repairing and reinstalling Windows 10.

Let me know if you require further assistance.

IT Miro

I ran the windows media 64 bit tool, it downloaded windows 10 up to almost done, then was stopped due to unknown error.
It said to reboot so I did and am rerunning the tool! I also ran my AVG Virus control, it found 1 virus ( Inline hook win 32 )
which it could not remove! This may be a culprit to downloading success? How to remove this virus? Please advise...
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Hi again!

I am sorry to see the upgrade failed again.

Once the AVG displays a virus alert, do you see the location of the virus file?
