Hello, my name is Chris. I've read your posting and would like to offer some advice on the cyclic redundancy error check (CRC). Can you tell me the Operating system you are using? Also, what drive letter is assigned to your Toshiba external drive?

Thanks you. Try these steps:- Go to the desktop and right click on the Windows logo- Select run- Type cmd- A the command prompt type cd\windows\system32 [enter]- From the Windows\system32 directory type chkdsk E: /fThis will try to find the CRC errors and fix them.If it doesn't run chkdsk, check the spelling and if it can't read the drive at all, then we can go from there.Let me know
