When I enter keystrokes using an external USB keyboard, the space character is often ignored.
My PC is a Toshiba Ultrabook.
When I use the laptop keyboard, the problem does not occur.
The problem occurs when I use an attached USB keyboard.

try to connect another usb keyboard and then let me know if it act the same way.

i belive the keyboard must be having the problem so to determine the cause lets connect another usb keyboard and let me know if the problem is still there.

The problem is still there with another keyboard. However, I uninstalled a couple of recently installed programs and that seems to have cleared up the situation. So I have resolved the issue on my own to my satisfaction.
