Are you able to get into Device manager?
yes - Hardware & sound
Open Device manager.
how do I do that?
Open Hardware and Sound.
Then, you will see Device manager under Devices.
Okay - done
You will see Device manager under Devices and Printers..
In Device manager, do you see Sound, Video and Game controllers?
Is it under system devices?
Nearby System devices.
Sound, Video and Game controllers?
Do you see that?
There's no Sound, Video, Game controllers in the list
Do you see any devices with a yellow mark?
not in my list under Device Manger.
Please scroll down and check again.
No- nothing with a yellow mark
Do you see any unknown devices or Other devices in the list?
in the well under system devices there is a system speaker
That is not the one.
Could you please right click on System Devices , and select Scan for hardware changes?

Select a date when the computer was working fine and follow the on screen instructions.
