Hello, It will be my pleasure to assist you with your computer today.
Are you using Internet Explorer on both computers?
Are you trying to copy from Vista to Windows 7, or the other way?
From Vista to Windows 7
Thanks. Are you on your Vista computer currently?
I am on the windows 7 machine but I can go to the other one
Yes, go on your Vista computer, open Internet Explorer, and click on the Tools menu. If you don't see the Tools menu, press the Alt key on your keyboard. From the drop-down menu, select Import and Export. Then select Export Favorites and click Next. Select the main/highest Favorites folder on the next screen and click next. Save the file to your desktop and then click Next.
Sorry, you'll actually want to use the File menu in the first step, not the Tools menu.
I had a typo in my instructions.
I find tools but there is no import export feature
Please check under the File menu.
Did you see it there?
yes I did that then copied it to the desktop and then a zip drive. I would assume that you then import to the new computer right?
Yes, so you have the file on a zip drive, and have you inserted it into your Windows 7 computer yet?
Great. Now do you see a File in this copy of Internet Explorer?
The chat says that you went offline. If you haven't already imported the Favorites when you return, click on File, select Import and Export, and then Import Favorites and browse to the file on your zip drive. If you don't see the File menu, press the Alt key.
I saw that and got them imported. I accidently closed the window and then tried to get back on. I think I rated your service but let me know if I didn't. On the screen I got back it had no activity just the rating.
Great! From my view it doesn't show that you've rated/closed our session yet. Could you try clicking on the rating options again?
