I have a brand new Neat desktop scanner that I bought this summer. I have never figured out how to use it. Could you help me get started? It is on but nothing works.

I printed up the manual and tried the first scan but it is working. The neat is plugged into my desktop. Am I supposed to set up files in my computer first?
