l have the HDR-CX560V. I have had it for a while and it has worked great until I upgraded my software to Windows 8. Now I have downloaded from the Sony website and when I try to run the application, it asked me to connect the camera and make sure it shows at a drive in explorer.

I have done that and my computer recognizes it but when hit the "next" button, it says the camera is not connected. How do I fix this.

unplug the camera from the computer

now uninstall the installed camera program from windows8

check if you have windows 8 32bit or 64bit first

download the latest driver software from this link here and then install the driver software

when you get a prompt from the computer to connect the camera then you connect the camera with the usb port
