I took my computer to geek squad and they told me my computer

I took my computer to geek squad and they told me my computer was unrepairable so that is why I want to keep this computer running as well as possible

Its going to likely be data corruption or registry issues.

Do the following please

Click Start, type in %temp% and press enter

Delete all files and folders listed in the new window then restart

Then Download CC Cleaner (free) from here

CC Cleaner

(Click Download Latest Version on the top right)

Run it and let it scan and repair your registry.

Once done, restart the computer

Than

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator.

A black window will open.

Type in it

sfc /scannow

press enter and when it has completed, type in

chkdsk /f

Press enter.

It will complain the Volume is in use and to run on restart. Say YES and restart the computer

Than test and let me know if it still shuts down please

Thats right, and you need to say Y (yes) and restart the computer

When it asks you to run on restart.

No sound will mean either the film is muted (check both the player and the computers speaker icon bottom right).

And does it now still shut down?

Try another film, we did not change the volume, so it will then be the film, your speakers, something in this area.

I look on lenovo.com and under support and then under audio but the drivers to download are for windows vista and windows xp but what about windows 7?

its restarted but the system restore had an error and the system did not make the changes to the computer but I have sound now
