Is VCL player a microsoft product? If I create a DVD for some one will it play on a window operated computer?
How can I create a DVD for some one and not subject them to HAVING to install VLC?
Yes, create a DVD with .wmv movie files (instead of .avi.) Also, having VLC Player program would play almost every type of movie files/codecs; Windows media player is limited. (For example, people download video files from the Internet and cannot play some of them because the computer does not have the right video codecs/player program.)Thank you.
my camera creats AVI files not WMV. I cannot change that.
Sorry, that is the issue. You get videos from different sources, like from the camera, or when people download video files from the Internet and cannot play some of them because the computer does not have the right video codecs/player program. People/devices use different video formats.Having the VLC player program would play most videos. Otherwise, you would need to convert the .AVI files to .WMV files using a converter program:http://www.winxdvd.com/avi-to-wmv/, or convert directly online:http://www.zamzar.com/Thank you
