For Online Computer Support, Ask a Computer Technician
My name is Marco and I'll be assisting you with this issue.
Are you an admin of the fan page?
can other people comment, post or like your page?
Oh ok I had a similar customer with the same problem
it was a bug
so she had to report it to facebook by going here: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/164405897002583?rdrhc
the next day, it was fixed
I can SHARE other people's photos or statuses on my page, but I cannot switch my identity and comment, post a status, picture or like as "What A Girl Eats"
I've reported the problem about 6 or 7 times...
did you get any responses?
obviously they don't respond
it's been 2 weeks
her one was fixed the next day
can you check the link I provided
to make sure it's the same one you used
Yep! I've used that exact same window to report my problem...
five or 6 or 7 times in the last two weeks...
you should just do it once
otherwise they get annoyed
after TWO WEEKS without a business page? JUST ONCE!???
what did you put in your description?
the same thing I've just told you...I cannot post a status, comment or like as What A Girl Eats for the last two weeks...
can you get to the facebook fan page?
and click on the edit page button?
The only thing they reply is..."we cannot respond to every complaint"....etc...\
are you the only admin?
ok create another facebook account
and add the new account as an admin
this is a test
to see whether it's your account or all admins
this is what I did with my previous customer
she had another admin and she had the same problem
what am I doing, creating a new What A Girl Eats Facebook page?
create a new facebook user account
what a i calling it?
anything its just a test
ok...I just created one called Test..
ok now on the What a Girl Eats page click on Manage Admin Roles
and add the new account you created
we were not able to add all your new administrators.. you can only add people who already like this page..
ok go to your test account
and like the page
then add as an admin
i did...same thing...
on your Fan page
did you see the test account liking the page?
yes, I've like the fan page testing from my personal account...not my fan page
so you created a NEW facebook account
then on the new facebook account, you went to your FAN page and liked it?
is that correct?
the problem is there are a lot of "testing" fan pages....mine with me as the one follower does not show up in the search bar...
ok I think you didn't understand what I meant by creating a NEW facebook account
you need to register for a new account
not create another fan page
and what does that do? this is a Facebook problem....
yes it's a facebook bug
but we need to show facebook that you've done some tests otherwise they are going to ignore you
pretty much you and i can't do anything. it's something that facebook needs to fix
all we can do is test
and prove to facebook that it's a bug
they do this all the time to other pages....but they usually send a email telling you that you have been reported for spam...
which is already known
it's not spam... spam is different from a bug
but they didn't tell me anything....they just cut me off at the knees!
in the description you need to provide more information
and show that you've tested it
Ok, well, I have my daughter's Open House in 30 minutes, so I will have to attend to this later...thanks...
having this "I cannot post a status, comment or like as What A Girl Eats for the last two weeks" doesn't help facebook
it's very generic. Can you image how many emails facebook gets with people reporting problems because there's so many facebook fan pages?
well i don't know how to be more specific...that's what i can
that's why you need to test with another account
and say that it's happening with other admins and it's a bug
like what my other customer did
and she had her fixed the next day
ok, I've got to go to open house...I will have to get back to this...thanks
if your daughter has a facebook account
make her an admin
and then get her to test it with her account to post and comment
if she has the same problem then it's a bug and describe this in the description when submitting to facebook
and use the link I provided you to report
When you report the problem there is a field called web address: Make sure you put in the web address of your fan page not your personal one
she's only 12
does your husband have an account
or someone you can trust has a facebook account
add them as an admin of the page and test then remove them after testing
