I have a windows 7 pc. All of my files and icons show the extension "ink" How can I delete them?
My name is XXXXX XXXXX I'll be assisting you with this issue.
Just to confirm, are all the files that you see in windows explorer, have an extension .ink?
I believe the problem is related to a malware that has infected your computer. To fix this issue please follow these steps:Download, Install Malwarebytes and scan your computer:http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Malwarebytes-AntiMalware/1186760019/1
Then once the scan is complete follow the steps highlighted on this website: http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-asso-fixes-for-windows-7/
Let me know how you go.
I followed both steps, but I still show the extensions. Please help.
did you malwarebytes software pick up anything?
what happened when you clicked on different file extension on the page I provided? http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-asso-fixes-for-windows-7/
I cannot find "ink" on the list.
no as part of the instructions you need to download all of them
to replace the ink to their original extension
what has happened is a virus or malware has replaced the original extensions with .ink

How do I revert back?
on the website I provided you there is the instructions at the bottom:
To fix the association for a particular file type:
