Hi, and thank you for asking your question.

What's the make and model of your laptop, please? Also, does this message come up at bootup itself?

its a HP note book GX-2324TX 15' I purchased the laptop only today about 4 hours ago,and the system started up and I was conneted to the internet, I have accientaly pressed restore pc insetad of restart, now i get a contiuouse message of diagonisng pc,then another message preparing install, this has been on a loop for the past 2 hours now

No problem; we can fix this.

Now, please reboot your laptop and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second, until the Choose your keyboard layout screen appears.

Done that, let me know, please.

that worked, i have the keyboard layout screen up

Okay, great. Now, please carry out the following steps:

Click to select the keyboard layout.

The computer restarts, and then the Choose an Option screen appears. Click Troubleshoot .

On the Troubleshoot screen, click Recovery Manager .
On the OS selection screen, click Windows 8 . Recovery Manager opens.
Under I need immediate help , click Minimized Image Recovery .

When prompted, select Recover without backing up your files , then click Next .

The HP Recovery Manager Welcome screen displays. Click Next to continue.
HP Recovery Manager prepares the computer for recovery.

When recovery preparation is complete, click Continue to proceed to the installation phase of the recovery process. The computer restarts several times during the recovery. This is normal.

After the system recovery is complete, click Finish to restart the computer. Complete the setup screens and wait until the computer finishes the setup.

This should get your computer back in fresh, working condition. Do keep me posted; thank you!
