an icon that looks like an eye appears as I type passwords. I clicked on the icon and it revealed the passwords I enter. What is this??? I have windows 8 on a dell inspiron 580.
Need to get rid of this. Tell best way, other than buying another computer. Thank You.

To Disable Password XXXXX button in Windows 8

1. Press Win key+R (both keys together) to open Run command and type gpedt.msc to open Group Policy Editor.

2. Navigate to User Configuration>Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Credential User Interface

3. Double click for “Do not display the password XXXXX button” on right pane and select enabled, click “Ok “to save changes.
