Viet - Computer Tech :

Hi, I will assist with this issue.

Viet - Computer Tech :

This was a scam. No support company or Microsoft would ever call you for any computer support (you would call them first.) This is usually a scam in order to get your money and/or to get your information on your computer. There are articles about this kind of scam:
http://www.scambook.com/report/view/140407/KBK-INFOTECH-KOLKATA-INDIA-Complaint-140407-for-$92.25
http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Viet - Computer Tech :

What's the error message when opening desktop icons?

Viet - Computer Tech :

Please try this: turn off your computer. Then turn it on, and right after the black screen with white text or the computer company logo disappears, press & release key F8 repeatedly until a menu appears, then you select Safe Mode with Networking (note: if there is no menu, then try the same steps again, but this time, press key F8 a bit earlier). Then login and click Start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred.

Viet - Computer Tech :

Next, please go to Safe Mode with Networking again, then go to the website:
http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
, then click on the green or blue Download Now button to download and install the Malwarebytes Anti-malware software. Then scan your computer:
(Do not buy anything; just use its free feature.)
, then restart the computer normally, and check.

Customer :

No message just won't do anything

Viet - Computer Tech :

Can you try my two suggestions above, then let me know later via this web page?

Viet - Computer Tech :

If it does not work, I will provide another solution.

Viet - Computer Tech :

You can bookmark/add to favorites this web page and/or check your email message from JustAnswer later in order to get back to me via this web page.

Viet - Computer Tech :

If it does not work, download and save the two files below to your computer:
http://www.winhelponline.com/fileasso/exe_fix_w7.zip
http://www.winhelponline.com/fileasso/lnk_fix_w7.zip
, then right-click on each file, then extract it
, then open each extracted file and confirm merge/yes (ignore any error message)
, then restart the computer and check.

Viet - Computer Tech :

If all fails, please let me know; I will find another solution. Thank you,

Customer :

All seems to be working now Thank you

Viet - Computer Tech :
