sorry, my computer won't download firefox. I just tried. It must have something to do with my problem.


But, i want to use internet explorer as my browser, so what is hanging up

not sure the fact you cant download anything points to an issue with Internet Explorer

Press Ctrl and D so you can come back to me

Close all open Internet Explorers

Then Open one

Then Reset IE

To Reset Internet Explorer Open Internet Explorer

Click Tools (Top right) Click Internet Options > Advanced >Reset >Reset again

very strange sounds like you have many Computer issues

Like I said, it all began about a week ago when I inadvertantly uninstalled McAfee. Computer works just fine, but I can't access my bank accounts or my credit cards online via this computer, or download anything. I thought for certain it had to be an issue with internet explorer. McAfee has ran a virus scan and their tech says "No Virus, etc.".


I ran across this website and thought you could help, but apparently can't help me. Thanks for trying!

Run a system restore should solve your issue

Ok to roll the system back to a time before you had this Issue please do the below

You will lose no personal data , Emails or Docs this only effects system files

Follow the 5 small steps below to restore

1)Click the start button the Round shaped Windows key bottom left

2)In the Search box type System restore press Enter

3)After a moment a box will pop up Click the Radio button Choose a different restore point > then Click next

On the next screen in the bottom left click radio button Show more restore Points then next

4)Highlight a restore point when you had no issues ,so before you had an issue look at the date when you had no problems Click next

5)Then Click Finish and then Yes

The Machine will restart and restore
