I have a Mustek 1200 ED Scanner I am using wind XP with an updated systemI am using iPhotoPlus 1 to do my scanning....The images I scan come out ok when shown in iPhoto after the scann but when I save the file to disk, then view that image, it looks like it has been cut into pieces and put back together in the wrong places....I did try turning some scanned images 90' then saving them and these saved ok.....

Hello,Please le me know what type of disc, or external flash drive you are saving these items to?Also is it when you open the file on the same computer, or the same..and are you viewing or trying to print and this is happening?
Saving images to a hard drive on the system....and it is opening the image on the same system....note... since asking, I have played around a little more...the scanned image looks ok in iPhoto, save it to disk and it looks like it has been cut and put back together....rotate the image 180' and then save the file, it saves ok, rotate the image again 180' and it returns to the cut state....if any of that makes any cents...............I view the saved images in both firestone image viewer and windows image & fax viewer, both give the same .....
Jeff,With that being said, when viewing in normal and turning 180 degrees if its working then that's good. When trying to turn back another 180 degrees and then it distorts it too far where it cannot be saved properly as it sounds like part of the picture is losing it's file attributes with the program going back another 180 degrees.Might need to reload the software, first save your data ofcourse as there is no known issues of this happening.Lastly, if fully removing and then reloading the software doesn't resolve your issues then I would advise to contact them via telephone during business hours:877-582-6735Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. EST Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ESTGlad I could be of assistance and god bless!Travis B.
I have already been down that road, :) removed and re instaled....It has been an on going problem... to the point where I have over time been able to reformat and reinstall windows and needed softwear with the problem still showing up....when turning the image 180'..the image scanned ALWAYS! looks ok when viewed in iPhoto, it is the saved file that plays up, but only 1 in 6 - 8, but once one plays up I have scanned the same image a number of times befor getting a good file saved.....
