when I click to attach a file or upload a image, the computer

when I click to attach a file or upload a image, the computer churns and hangs for a long time, what can I do to resolve this problem, I have tried most things even uninstalled my mcafee vius scan because I thought thay was the proble. Experiencing this ever since I did a firefox update

Computer OS: Windows 7
Browser: Firefox

Already Tried:
uploaded AVG PC Tune to see if it could identify problem, it said it fixed several hundred problems but have not resolved this one. I have used windows and still this has not resolved it. Even clicking on an email takes a long time to open, keeps saying not responding

Please follow the steps:



A. Please stop the startup programs to load automtatically. It will speed up the computer.

Click Start, in the search box, please type msconfig and hit Enter. You will see system configuration utility. On this on the top right hand side corner, please click Tab Startup. Now, at the bottom on the right hand side, please click Disable All . Please click Apply and OK. Now, you will see an option, Restart. please click Restart.

B.

Please click start button, in the search box, type cmd , you will see cmd link in black color at the top. Right click on that(cmd) link and choose Run as an Administrator. Now, click continue. On the black screen type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

C. I would suggest you to scan your computer using the free version of anti-malware software. This will remove all of the malwares, spywares, viruses from the computer.

Note: If you have antivirus programs like Norton, mcafee, CA, kaspersky installed on the computer, still I suggest you to download and install Malwarebytes as the Anvirus program does not remove Malwares generally.

Please open the following link and download free version of malwarebytes.

Please click download the latest verion on the top left hand side and install it.

After that, click Quick scan and click start.

It will take around 10-15 minutes to scan. Once the scan is complete. You will see a link, "Select All". You will click "Select All". After that you will click "Remove Selected"

Then you will see a pop up with options, Yes or No. Click Yes and this would restart your computer.

D. If not fixed:

Please click start, click control panel and click Windows update and download, install latest updates.

E. If not fixed, please remove all of the anti-virus programs on the computer.

F. Please try to update using internet explorer.

I have installed Mallware bytes as advised. When it starts scanning it stops and say's it is not responding.

It has stopped scanning on window\systen32\noise.cht

I have not been able to complete one task successfully yet

How old is this computer?


Do you have some very important data on the computer? Have you already taken data backup?

If nothing works, please tell me if it will be fine to restore the computer to factory settings.

Note: Restoring to factory settings would delete all of the software and data on this computer and it would to go a state it was on the very first day of its purchase.
