Reinstalled Roboform- doesn't contain info from previous Roboform. Apparently no phone support. Any suggestions?
Hello. My name is XXXXXXX. X will be your Primary Care Technician and I can assist you with your question.
What version did you have and what version did you upgrade to?
Our chat has ended, but you can still continue to ask me questions here until you are satisfied with your answer. Come back to this page to view our conversation and any other new information. What happens now? If you haven’t already done so, please rate your answer above. Or, you can reply to me using the box below.
It looked like you could not respond in chat, so I will give you the instructions here. Please follow the steps below. It is most likely that the new version just doesn't know where the old data is.
1. Find your Passcard files on your hard drives:- Click Start button and select Search -> For Files and Folders.- Put *.RFP into "All or part of the file name" (use *.RFT for Identities and *.RFN for Safenotes).- Put "Local Hard Drives" into "Look In".- Click Search button and note the folder in which your Passcards and Identities appear.- Be aware that hidden files will not be found by Windows Explorer by default. To make it really search all folders, open Windows Explorer and select "Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Show hidden files and folders" option.
2. Tell RoboForm where the files you found are:- Click RoboForm button on RF toolbar (or taskbar) and select Options,- Go to "User Data" tab,- Click Set Folder,- Select the folder that you found in step 1.
All of that info was lost when I reinstalled Windows Vista. T don't know which one I had - I don't know if this was an upgrade
You will need that data if you want to use it with the current version. I incorrectly assumed that you meant that you upgraded when you installed the new version and were looking for the data from the previous one you had. That info is your data. That is the data it sounds like you would like to use with the current version.Do you still have access to the previous installation or a backup of it, or is it completely gone?Mike
Completely gone. I can't apprehend the protocol for Answer.
I'm not sure what you mean about "protocol for Answer". If you could explain that, I will respond. The Answer to the question about the form data is that if you do not have it, you will have to re-create it in the new Roboform. There is no way to recover data that simply doesn't exist.Mike
In the past when I downloaded Roboform for a new computer, it contained all the info from the previous one. From their database.

What version do you have? That will depend on what version you have and if you were using Roboform Sync, etc?
RoboForm v7.8.05
T dun't know about thr Sync designation'
If you have saved the data to a Roboform Server, then It's very likely that you were using Roboform Everywhere, which is a version of the software that does that specifically. If you don't have Roboform Everywhere, and you are certain that you have your data on a Roboform Server, then you will have to get Roboform Everywhere in order to synchronize with that data. The beta version of the software was called Roboform Online, so it's possible that you were using that. In either case, the data is the same and will be accessed with your user information once you have the correct edition of RoboForm installed. Here is the information on Roboform Everywhere.RoboForm Everywhere
I'm reasonably sure that Robiform Everywhere didn't exist then. But I'll try again. It doesn't help that they don't have telephone support. However, If you can determine that they do, please let me know.
Please understand that I am not afilliated with Roboform.ASs I said, there was a beta version of Roboform called Roboform Online. If you didn't use one of these products, then there would be no way for you to have stored anything on a Roboform server. Is it possible that in previous upgrades/installations the data was moved to the new computer? These are the only two ways for the data to get there. In any case, in order to store the data, you would have had an ID and password XXXXX Please try going to the following page and logging in:Roboform Online LoginAs for the telephone support, they do have a number available:+1 (703) 890‑0676I noticed that you rated my service is poor. Hopefully I have earned a better rating while working with you. If not, please let me know what I else I can do.Mike
