Hi , Welcome to
If its just a defective motherboard and the hard drive is fine yes you can.
What kind of hard disk is it (SATA or PATA) ?

yes I am here. I do not know which hd I have, but I will find out once
I know this is possile. I need to know what I must do?
Ok.What you need to do is as follows:1> Remove the working harddisk2> Not down whether it is SATA or PATA.. because connectors will be different for both.3>Now you have two options. Connect the harddisk as a slave drive or even better option is to get an external casing. They look something like thishttp://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=92&name=External-EnclosuresThey are cheap and will be available in any good computer store nearby.4>insert your harddrive into the casing. It will act like an external harddrive.5>Plug it into the usb port and retrieve your data.Regards.
