Hello and thank you for using this service,
What exactly do you mean by "blank page for google search"? Do you mean that if you go to google.com and then do a search, it returns a blank page?
Also, are you getting any error message or code from google talk?
yes blank page when search google.com, can't remember exact message since I uninstalled gtalk, some kind of connection error
Are you having other problems? Can you browse to other sites? Can you do a search on another search engine, such as yahoo.com? Also, if possible, please reinstall google talk. We really need to install it and see the error to possibly fix.
no problems with other sites and yahoo search works fine, tried to reinstall google talk,, saved file but nothing happens
This could be some malware related damage. Let's do a few checks and troubleshooting steps:Click start, then run, then in the box type cmdand hit enterIn the command prompt box that follows type:ipconfig /flushdnsand hit enterNext in the same box type ping google.comand hit enterTell me the results of this command.
ok, here's what I got - after the flush: Windows IP config successfuly flushed DNS resolver cache, after ping: pinging google.co [74.125.224.230] with 32 bytes of data, reply from 74.125.224.230 1st reply bytes=32 time 12 ms TTL=252, 2nd same but 11 ms, 3rd, 12 ms, 4th 11ms, ping statistics for 74.125.224.230 packets sent=4 received=4, lost=0 0% lost, approx round trip times in milliseconds min=11, max=12, avg=11
please try the google search again. if it does not work, tell me which browser you are using.

What security/antivirus are you running on this computer? Also, please reboot the computer, and upon restart tap the F8 key. When you get the boot menu, select SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING. Boot into safe mode, and if prompted login as Administrator. Once you get to the desktop, load up your browser again, and test the google search. Tell me what happens.
Winbdows security, uninstalled my AVG antivirus thinking it was part of the problem, wwon't I lose you if I reboot etc, how do I get back to you and if I don't hope I won't get charged
You can bookmark this page, and return to it whenever you would like. You can also return to it in safe mode with networking. Also, rating my answer, when I send it, does not cost you anything extra. You have already made a deposit with the site, and that is used to accept and rate answers. I do not get your deposit, but just ask for a positive rating when I send my answer.
ok, will do it and hope i get back to you (have page bookmarked!)
hit f8 at restart but didn't get that page to go into safe mode, just opened as usual
Try completely powering off the computer. Then, just after pushing the start button, start tapping the F8 key about every half second. You may have to repeat this power off/on cycle a few times to get it, but the menu will show up eventually.
started in safe mode with networking, still balnk with google search, couldn't get to you via by bookmark in safemode, so restarted
OK, have you tried this with Internet Explorer? If not, please do, and load IE this way.click start, then run, then in the box type iexplore -extoffand hit enter. this will load up ie with no addons. Try the google search.
went to google search page has the goooogle name and page numbers, but nothing listed there
I'm not sure what you mean by the last response. Page numbers? If you go to www.google.com in internet explorer, what do you see? then what do you see when you do a search?
I see my search in bar across top, little yellow banner says add-ons disabled, then goooogle and under that 1 2 3 4 5 etc
you are seeing goooogle spelled with all those extra o's?
yeah, that's what ususally happens, but no search results shown. Google then search bar (with my search text) then under that google with all those os and under that 1 2 3 4 5 etc (search pages I believe) I am getting tired and very frustrated. Started work at 5 this morning. Work from home and I'm exhausted. Any other suggestions?
oh , sorry I didn't understand you. you are saying the search is working then in internet explorer?
no, page comes up but nothing listed under my search, just the page numbers 1 2 3 4 5 I think I'm done here. How do i quit this? And sure hope I don't get charged for this since problem is not resolved?
Hello, Thank you for choosing our site to ask your question~!My name is XXXXX XXXXX X would like to assist you today.Sounds like you may have a google redirect virus or something similar. Also windows security sounds like a rogue antivirus(malware). Not satisfied but it's not you, technicalcal should get the bad rating, didn't seem to understand my answers and I am done after 3 plus hours with him.
Sorry for all the time you have had to spend working with technicalcal. Hopefully my answer helps. If you need anything else. Let "ME" know.Have A Great day.
Sorry my last response did not go through. I had opted your question out to other experts , because it appeared you didn't want to continue with the troubleshooting steps. The problem you are describing is not common, and the symptoms are not directly related to the common viruses/malware. They are similar, but with just google being a problem, there are several possibilities. To better serve the customer, I go through troubleshooting steps instead of giving generic "canned" answers you could find yourself (ironically) with a google search, before giving a final answer. In your problem/case there are several troubleshooting steps involved to determine the true cause of the problem. Perhaps another expert will have a faster/easier solution for you. Good luck.technicalcat41124.2198589931
