When using windows 7 home premium, how do I delete the name & address of the person/s/ who sent it to me, when I forward it.
Optional Information: Computer OS: Windows 7 Browser: Other Already Tried: EVERYTHING. I hit forward, and when there's a picture attached, I have to send it as an attachment. When I send it as an attachment, I CANNOT DELETE THE NAME OF THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO ME AND HIS/HER ADDRESS. I want to send all my emails out "clean" Understand?
Hi. I am Rick and I will be your Computer Professional.
What email program are you using?
I'm using windows 7 home premium.
Sorry for the delay, but I'm back & will remain at computer 'till problem solved.
Thx
What email program do you use?
Oh sorry. Windows Live
The easiest way is to follow these steps. See if it works for you.
Open your email message and click on the Forward button in your email client. The first line will automatically say "Original Message" and below it will be a list of email addresses from previous forwards.
Click anywhere in the body of the email and then press "Ctrl" + "Home" to move your insertion point to the beginning.
Click and drag the cursor to select all the text prior to the body of the message. Pressing and holding the Shift key on your keyboard and using the arrow keys to select the text will also work. Once selected, press the "Delete" or "Backspace" key on your keyboard to erase the email addresses. You may now safely forward the email without a listing of previous email addresses.
I did that and The first line DID NOT say "Original Message" or below it a list of email addresses from previous forwards. The only thing on there when I hit forward is the little icon, subject name, who it's from and who it's to. And, I can't delete that. If I sent it you, you'd have the name and address of who sent it to me and everybody he'd sent it to in addition to me. Unjderstand?
Sorry it took so long but I needed to do some research on this. In Windows live mail what you are trying to do is not possible at this time. The only way you can do it is to save the email in someplace lke notepad and then you can delete the addresses in notepad and then send the email as an attachment.
Relist: Answer came too late.Just ans my question please. PLEASE! Richard didn't come back within 15 mins and a pop up appeared saying you could give my request to all experts if I wanted. I said OK to that, and now this. I don't want another ans. I just want the answer. PLEASE
If I switcfhed to plain text, would it help in eliminating senders when I forward.
Actually no it would no matter. It is something that Microsoft did not program into live mail in the first place, stupid but true.
OK. Final question. Do I have options other than windows live mail that is easy to use as old windows was that I used for years. (I intend to give you a good rating)
You can use Outlook and it allows you to delete the addresses of forwarded messages. Now having said that OIutlook is a part of Microsft Office so you would need that. You can also use an msn or Yahoo account but that would involve changeing you email address.

Do you think they'll EVER engineer it so that a person can delete the name of the persons sending stuff, when it is being forwarded.
They will be doing a new version of it to go along with Windows 8 later this year. I am sure they will address this with that version. Or at least we can hope they will.
If I havfen't used up all my money, I have another issue. Still about Windows Live. E.g. If you send me email, all the buttons in the upper ribbon are live. When I reply to you, EVERYTHING in the upper ribbon that allows me to change or alter the message is completely muted. How do I change that to make everything live?
Relist: Other. You can ans. my origional question that I sent earlier. I've waited much longer than the 15 mins on "Richard". I feel you are just blowing me off. I intend to report this, and other stuff like it to my Congress person.
