I have a XOOM tablet. This morning I was re diving emails fine, but now I get an error message which tells me that my user name and password XXXXX incorrect. I have made no changes to my settings. I have re-entered my correct password XXXXX times but I still get this message.please advise.

Email addresses are filtered for your privacy, so I'm unable to see what yours is. All I need to know to start is if you're using a gmail email address. Please let me know.

i'm using gmail just to communicate and receive personal emails since i can't access my yahoo account:

Ah yes, Yahoo has been having a mess of issues lately it seems, especially with email clients (outlook, etc).

I'd say your best bet is to delete the account from (settings > accounts) and just remove it straight.

Then set it up from scratch. Assuming you can log into the yahoo website to your email at http://mail.yahoo.com

Be sure you can do that, I assume you can though since you mentioned you already reset your password (which is the first step to take). In the case of the XOOM, which is using a form of imap, your mail is on the yahoo server, so after re-creating the account, it'll download the mail again.

The settings, just in case and for your reference are and can be set up from here:

http://mobile.yahoo.com/mail/android

Just follow the guide to get it back up and running after removing the account.
