When I try to listen to Youtube or to downloads the sound is constantly interrupted. How do I fix this? Is there software that I need? I just bought the computer!NAncy

what is the make and model
There are two things that can cause this.
one is the internet speed
the other is too many things running on your computer
To see if it is the computer, restart it and before it gets to windows press F8 repeatedly. A menu comes up and on that menu select safemode with networking
Then go to the sites that are giving you trouble
To see if it is the internet go to http://www.speedtest.net/
click on begin test
Let me know what it says and what the other test shows
I sent answers to you yesterday! I restarted and pushed F8 several times but the menu didn't appear. Speed = down .12 up = .13.
Are you saying that the speed is point 12 down? IS that Mb/s
who is your internet provider?

That speed is too low to use for live things like youtube etc. I am sorry. You should have at least 1 meg down and up. You have 256k down and 128k up. I am sorry.
