I have recently failed to open a music programme Band-in-a Box. I get an error message headed bbw.exe-Entry Point Not Found, then:The procedure entry point WMCreateSyncReader could not be located in the dynamic link library WMVCORE.DLL. Is there a fix?
Already Tried: Reloading Band-in-a-Box

Hi!You will need to download and install Windows Media Player codecs. Get them HERE.If that doesn't work, then download and install Windows Media Player 11 from HERE.

I loaded the WM Player codecs but still got the same error message reported above. I loaded the WM Player11 and received this message "This version of Windows Media Player can only be installed on a computer that runs Windows Service Pack2"
It is highly recommended to have latest service pack installed. It seems you either don't have any service pack installed or have service pack 1 only. Latest service pack for Windows XP is service pack 3 and can be downloaded from THIS LINK.I recommend you to install it. After the installation, restart a computer and Band-in-a Box would most likely be able to run as it requires certain files updates which service pack 3 installs automatically on your computer. If not, you will be able to install Windows Media Player 11 which should solve the "missing WMVCORE.DLL" message.
