A fix depends on which Windows version you have (for example: XP, Vista, 7) so tell me that information and I will post you what you need to do.

Hi!

You will need to download and install Windows Media Player codecs. Get them HERE.

If that doesn't work, then download and install Windows Media Player 11 from HERE.

I loaded the WM Player codecs but still got the same error message reported above. I loaded the WM Player11 and received this message "This version of Windows Media Player can only be installed on a computer that runs Windows Service Pack2"

It is highly recommended to have latest service pack installed. It seems you either don't have any service pack installed or have service pack 1 only. Latest service pack for Windows XP is service pack 3 and can be downloaded from THIS LINK.

I recommend you to install it. After the installation, restart a computer and Band-in-a Box would most likely be able to run as it requires certain files updates which service pack 3 installs automatically on your computer.

If not, you will be able to install Windows Media Player 11 which should solve the "missing WMVCORE.DLL" message.
