Hi there, and welcome to JustAnswer, I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.

Are you receiving any error code? If so what is the code please?

Customer replied312 days and 3 hours ago.

There is no error code, the only thing I see as out of place the proc shows delayed start, I switch it to auto and it will not hold the setting, I have run the micorsoft fix, run utilities, still not working

ok, can you do the following please Claus

Disable the Windows Update Service. Click Start Type in services.msc and press enter. Look for Windows Update, double click it and stop it

Click Start, Computer and navigate to: C:/Windows/ (or where ever you Windows system is)

Find the folder named: “SoftwareDistribution”

Rename that folder to something like “SoftwareDistribution.old”

Create a new folder called “SoftwareDistribution”

Go back to your Services panel and start the Windows Update service

Rerun Windows Update and tell me if you still have the problem please
