neelimark :

hi

neelimark :

welcome to justanswer.com

neelimark :

which browser you're using ?

Customer :

Chrome. Neelimark: I am of course not happy about paying so much, but I am to the point of no other option. Some of the web "solutions" I have tried have only caused further problems, and I have spent to days on this. I run marathons, and rely heavily on lectures I download from youtube, and like I said, I've never had a problem, until for some unknown reason.... I have uninstalled, reinstalled, chrome, real player several times.

Customer :

Do you think you can help me?

Customer :

where is the "accept" I am supposed to click so you can get paid? I don't want to piss you off!

neelimark :

i can help you

neelimark :

this issue happened 2 days back .. right ?

neelimark :

i guess mostly the chrome should've updated by this time

neelimark :

have you tried re-installing the real player software ?

Customer :

Yeah, about 2 days I first noticed. I have installed the real player software at least 6 times. It hasn't made any difference.

Customer :

I read a lot of people complaining about Chrome, but until 2 days ago, it always worked fine for me.

neelimark :

do you use any other browser ?

Customer :

Oh - also I have looked into Real Player help, which has been useless.

Customer :

I used to use internet explorer before I switched to chrome, because I was told the downloader only worked with Chrome.

neelimark :

okay .. i think you need to re-install chrome browser

neelimark :

this issue is happening because the real player plugin for chrome is not working properly

neelimark :

before that try this

neelimark :

open the chrome browser

neelimark :

and in the address bar , type this

neelimark :

chrome://plugins/

neelimark :

there , check that the real player plugin is listed , and if listed check that its enabled or not ..

neelimark :

if its not enabled then you've to enable it again

Customer :

okay, I have done that about 5 times too, but i you think it will help, I'll do it again. How do I get the real play plug in to work? and why did it all of a sudden stop?

Customer :

okay, I'll do that

neelimark :

try this and let me know

Customer :

OKay, its there and enabled.

neelimark :

it was already enabled ?

Customer :

yes. I think I'm screwed. The program just must not work.

Customer :

the bizarre thing is that the download video symbol shows up

neelimark :

ok

neelimark :

probably some configurations got corrupted

neelimark :

since this issue started 2 days back , try doing a system restore to 2 days back

neelimark :

that should help fixing the issue

Customer :

could this be a you tube issue?

Customer :

I'm not sure how to do system restore but I

neelimark :

it won't be a youtube issue

Customer :

I'll try try to figure it out

neelimark :

see this link to know how to do a system restore in windows 7

neelimark :

neelimark :

i hope this should solve your problem .. else let me know
