Is there a problem with yahoo biz mail. Domain mail.tdking.com not receiving any external email through exchange server. MXToolBox shows: 25 smtp No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 216.39.61.178:25That is the address of one of the yahoo servers
Hello. My name is XXXXXXX. X will be your Primary Care Technician and I can assist you with your question.
I just double checked and what you're saying is the same thing I see.
We've changed nothing on the Exchange Server side.
And then I did a port scan, and it looks like the port is actually blocked
Is it the port on our end or on the biz server on Yahoo's end?
hmmm.
CanonicalName=redirect.mail.premiumservices.yahoo.com
Is it supposed to be redirecting to yahoo?
Or does it normally come into your email server?
Email server, I believe. Sorry, I'm the middleman on this.
Ok... just noticed something.
You should be having email sent to @tdking.com
which looks ok
not @mail.tdking.com
And your tdking.com domain email is responding properly.
What should I be looking at on my end?
Since the smtp test is good, the problem should be minor.
Have you tried rebooting the exchange server?
I was just checking everything with the public facing side and all looks normal.
Did this just start hapenning?
The reason I ask is that it looks like the email would at least get to Yahoo's server.
And then if you aren't receiving it, it's possible that they aren't sending it (meaning if they have a service outage)
One way to test this is to try sending an email to yourself, and see what you get back.
Whether you get a non-delivery message, delayed delivery, or nothing.
Will try that again. Is it possible that the port is blocked in the cable modem onsite/
It's possible, but unlikely if nothing has changed there. The way it appears to be configured, the email goes to the yahoo server over port 25, then yahoo sends it to your server, probably over port 465 or 587.
So, what should be my next action?
As I said, try sending an email to yourself from an outside account to see what you get back.
It appears that your domain is receiving email ok... which means you won't lose anything.
Have you restarted the exchange server?
It may be as simple as that.
Still there?
