Hi, I was recommended by the Malden Policeto call your Company because I thought that ai was scammed by a computer called PC Experts 247 LLC - When I called Acer - I was transferred ti a company called My Tech Bay - I don't know where they are located - anyway I granted them access to my computer because they stated that they needed to fix the errors caused by PC Experts. I was talking with the better business bureau and I was told that I should never give anyone full access to my company. My tech Bay fixed the issue so they stated and advised me that I had 350 errors. I paid them over $600.00 to repair my computer - Part of it for a 3 year contract which they told me to call every month to have them run a scan. I have unlimited access to this Company - My question is, was I scammed twice.

No MyTech gave it to me - I am not sure if Acer gave it to me - they either transferred me or gave me that number - I think they just transfered me

They remoted into your computer, they may have installed something. Also, companies claiming that you have 1000 errors, they all are known scam.

Seems like you have been scammed. Contract your bank or your credit card company and let them know what happened. Run your anti virus to see is they left something on your computer to get back in. I also recommend you download malware (it is free) to scan your computer and find what is missed by your regular anti virus: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html.

Never give out your information to anyone to log into your computer unless you know who they are. No company charges that much to fix your computer.

1. contact bank or credit card company and let them know that you were scammed (they should refund back money).
2. run malware (the link I gave you above) to make sure nothing was left on your computer so that they can get in it again.
3. I have found a lot of complaint forums for PC Experts 247 LLC. Always check them out or run a search on the company before you give them permission to log into your computer.
4. Change your computer password XXXXX a strong one (capitol letter, characters etc).

Previous to asking my question on "Just Answer" I had spoken to the Malden Police because I was scammed by an inreputablr computer. The police officer stated that I should call a company called Acer which would be able to help me with this issue. They in turn traaansferred me to a Company called "My Tech Bay" who worked to correct my computer situation to which I was charged $649.00 which also included a 3 year contract for them to enter my computer and do a monthly chek for viruses etc

I decided to check out thne legitimacy of This Company called "My Tech Bay". by asking this question on "Just Answer. I explained the situation to the gentleman who supposedly would answer my question. My question being was "My Tech Bay" a reputable Company. The person on the other end just kept typing endless, tiresome questions back to me. I stated to him that I asked a specific question and needed specific answers. At that point he typed back "We - meaning Acer Company, couold have fixed your problem for $30.00 - At this point I stated to him that my questions were not answered and that I planned to have tge $38.00 I paid him revrsed out of my Visa debit account - I was very angry and thought the sevice he gave me was more than despicable.- After I hanged up the phone smoldering with anger - you later sent me some answer which I didn't feel answered my initial question and at that point I deleted it.

 

I am in the process with my Bank yo have the payment reversed out. Just know that I would never call your Company again EVER
