Hi Our fujitsu laptop is less than a yr old and keeps stopping I.e. We can't get anything from it at all when switching on - the blue light comes on at power button, but that's it and we have to unplug it and wait for battery etc to go before it will start to function again - do you know what this might be please? It's extremely frustratingMany thanksAlex
Optional Information: Computer OS: Windows 7 Already Tried: Waiting until power goes completely and it needs recharging
Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.First, please try to boot the computer into Safe Mode then see if it works normally there despite the huge icons and screen.
No response at all I.e. Power on but everything else dead
Thank you for writing back. It appears then that this is a hardware fault, specifically the motherboard. The only thing that you can do here is to Hard Reset the laptop. If the problem continues, you need to send the laptop to the store where you bought it for warranty-covered repair since a replacement of a faulty part may be required. To perform a Hard Reset, please try to do the following:
I hope that helped. Keep me posted with your results so that I can help you further.

We have tried to take battery out at back already but unable to
Are you saying that you were not able to take out the battery? What exactly is the model of the fujitsu laptop?
It's a Lifebook A Series model AH531
Are you still unable to take out the battery to proceed with the hard reset?
Correct
Ok. To remove the battery, please look for 2 sliding locks at the bottom or rear part of the laptop. One of the locks there is static. That is, when you slide it to unlock, it will remain unlocked. If you slide it to lock, it will remain locked. The other lock is a flex lock. You need to push or slide it to unlock but you need to keep on holding it to unlock. When you release, it defaults to or it rests to its locked status. So, you need to unlock the first lock. After the first lock is unlocked, slide the second lock and while it is unlocked, gently slide the battery to remove it.Here is a video guide:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvRA87ZbPZ8&feature=fvsrI hope that helped.JessRemember, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with my answer, we can continue the conversation until you’re satisfied and Accept my answer. It has rebooted without battery in - thanks But why does it keep doing it and should we keep batter out
I am glad that the computer works without the battery. If the computer is used in the house only, you can remove the battery to lengthen its life and use the laptop directly connected to the power source. If the laptop is used outdoors, that is the time that you use the battery. But make sure that the power cord is not plugged into the power source when the battery is connected and the laptop is turned on. This is to protect the battery and to lengthen its life span.I hope this helped.Best regards,JessRemember, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with my answer, we can continue the conversation until you’re satisfied and Accept my answer.
