Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.

Can you please explain what happens when you try and open a Word document? Does it open in another program? Do you get a error message?

Customer replied 340 days and 15 hours ago.

No error messages. Sometimes I see a flash of Word opening, but it never opens the document and the Word doc is in the task bar (but wont open)

Let's try a repair of Microsoft Office suite.

Click on the "Start" button then click on "Control Panel". Click on "Add/Remove" Programs.

The list of installed programs will populate, click "Microsoft Office" on the list and click on "Change".

That will bring up the Office window select Repair on the list and let the installer repair Office. When done test out your issue please let me know the outcome.

Remember, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with my answer, we can continue the conversation until you’re satisfied and Accept my answer. I can address follow up questions at no extra charge and I’m always here to help. Thank you for using JustAnswer!

Still didn't work. It couldn't repair because it couldn't locate a file that wasn't on the computer.

Do you have your Microsoft Office disc and product key?
