cd drive not recognized, tried wat seems to be everything already...
Optional Information: Computer OS: Windows Vista Browser: IE Already Tried: deleting upper and lower filters in regedit, deleting and reinstalling driver, updating driver, cleaning registry..........

yeah, this is all ive done for two days.....literally.
okay then
right click on my computer , goto manage and then device manager
select your DVD Rom
Right click and select uninstall driver
once driver is uninstalled
restart the computer
i have already done that about 50 times.........
then i am sorry i dont have much to add, i will opt-out for other experts to guide you

Hi, Just to make sure, can you download and save the file below: http://aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip , then extract/unzip it, then run the cdgone.reg file and confirm yes, then restart the computer and check. But it appears the cd/dvd drive hardware is bad. Can you get a USB external cd/dvd drive and connect it to the computer and check? Thank you.
