Why will my new battery not charge?

Already Tried:
When I first plug the charger in, The blue light blinks than after a while it blinks yellow. If I turn the computer on, the battery status says "charging" on blue, and "not charging" on yellow. If I unplug the charger and battery it goes back to blue for a while.

Could you please remove the battery, AC Adapter and all external devices from the computer?

I did.

Then, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds without connecting anything.

Then, insert the Adapter and battery, then turn on the computer.

Please check if the battery is charging.

it says pluged in and charging.

Please check if it is working fine.

the blue light is blinking but after awhile it will turn yellow and say not charging but not yet.

Are you able to charge the battery without turning on the computer?

it does not seem to make a difference.

right now yes but it did this before.

I did not but I no longer have the old one.

it said to replace the battery and the battery needed recharging in less than an hour.

It might be the Adapter or the battery itself.

Please get a different Adapter and try it with the computer. If the issue persists, please get a replacement battery, since it is new.
