Customer Question

I have purchased a Sansa 8.0 a couple months ago. I had charged it and while using it
it locked up and the screen just slowly faded away... NOW it won't respond to anything, and I tried to initiate a response by putting it on a charge but that didn't work also.

Would like your help or where I could send it for repair.

Already Tried:
Turning it on and off and put it on a charge to attempt to get it to respond... The problem occured when I was searching for a song and it just froze up and the screen slowly faded to black and won't respond. BUT... it has a tiny glow to it as if it was not off.

On the Sansa

1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power switch.
3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.

If that does not work repeat the steps with the Sansa connected to a computer through USB

BestComputerExpert :

If that does not work most electronics now a days have a free 1 year manufacturer warranty.

There are a couple of options

First you should be able to bring it back to the place of purchase and explain the situation

BestComputerExpert :

Most stores will RMA the item and send it back to the factory either refunding your money or replacing the unit

If they give you any hassles at the store you can contact SanDisk at this number 1 XXX XXX XXXX

They will be able to assist with the repair or replacement

Since it's not old, I double Sandisk would charge you.
