I am having a serious issue.....I downloaded a free dvd thing on all my computers. I can give you that info if you need it....honestly I am not sure which program has caused it...I downloaded several things.....but since I was easily downloading movies and saving them to my computer and it worked...i ended up downloading to all my computers. I had some major suspicious activity on my debit card....and when I looked into the charge I came back to a program with a smiliar name as the one I downloaded....so I decided to remove the program...would not let me...I had an almost impossible time opening system restore...and at this point I have tried 5 different restore dates and it will not restore. What do I do?? Something very weird is going on...Thanks so much All my computers run Windows xp

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.
Please try this: turn off your computer. Then turn it on, and right after the black screen with white text or the computer company logo disappears, press & release key F8 repeatedly until a menu appears, then you select Safe Mode with Networking (note: if there is no menu, then try the same steps again, but this time, press key F8 a bit earlier). Then login and click Start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system restore and restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred to see if system restore works or not. Then just continue the following:
Next, please go to Safe Mode with Networking again, then click below and click on Download Latest Version, to download and install the Malwarebytes Anti-malware software. Then scan your computer: http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ (Do not buy anything; just use its free feature.)
, then restart the
Next, download and install the Revo Uninstaller program at http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html , then open it, and select the program you want to remove, then click on Uninstall , then select the Advanced option , then select all whenever prompted, and delete and confirm , then restart the computer, and check.
Please let me know if there is still any issue later. Thank you.
Alright...on the first computer a Compaq Tc1100.....I ran in the safe mode with networking...went to several dates and it all came back unsuccesful. I already have malwarebytes on all computers....however on the compaq tc1100 it says file it missing or corrupt. On my desktop computer I am currently running the malware bytes scan.....nothing shows up yet...however I have not tried the safe mode networking on it yet. As for my third computer I have done nothing to it yet. Any more advice for the tc1100 that can not be restored? Thank you
You can turn off system restore, then turn it back on:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405; then system restore should work later (not now as all restore points will be removed when turning off)Please try the revo uninstaller program to remove that program.
