Customer Question

Am ubable to scroll down GRADUALLY on my messages.

When it DOES move it goes to the first few messages that day-- nothing in between

And it is very difficult bringing up any older mail.

Am able to scroll properly on all other sites than g-mail

There are a few additional things I would like to know before I attempt to figure this one out.

Which browser are you using?

Does the same thing happen in other browsers?

When you scroll, do you do it with the 'wheel' on the mouse or are you clicking the scroll bar to scroll.

Does this happen in the Priority inbox, or Classic inbox?

Please respond to each of these questions to the best of your ability with as much detail as you can muster and I will be better able to figure this one out.

Google browser -- worked with Yahoo when tried it

 

Scroll both ways-- no dfference

 

with the NORMAL box--not the one marked "IMPORTANT"

 

Believe have discovered a KEY CLUE.:

The problem exists with the LIST OF EMAILS -- AND with the CONTENT of each letter

EXCEPT--

With ATTACHMENTS a nd DOWNLOADS ---and the document you just sent me (which was not part of ab email, IT SCROLLS JUST FINE.So the email system is the culprit.

Same as my long finanxial charts (like CBOE) and Yahoo email and my long list of FAVORITES.

So it seems like you may need to tap into Google for their prognosis as well as yours.

Where is the ACCEPT button so I can click it?

am still waitingfor an answer from yesterday re GMAIL


 


unable to scroll up or down gradually on gmail messages . it stands still or JUMPS so I lose seme written material.


Works FINE on DOWNLOADS and all other websites including yahoo mail. Looks like a systemic gmail problem. eg scrolls fine on THIS message and all downloads

My deepest apologies. I thought you had sorted this out when you said you were ready to accept my answer.

I deal with anomalies all the time with Gmail and certain browsers, however, if I am understanding you right, this problem persists no matter what browser you are using. Is that right?

I can honestly tell you that I have *NEVER* experienced this issue. If you have a video camera on your phone could you "shoot" some footage of this phenomenon so I can have a peek? If so, please shoot from far enough away so that personal email addresses, etc are not legible BUT the behavior you're describing IS viewable.

if you have the ability to shoot some video of this, I would love to see it. You can post the file on www.wikisend.com WITHOUT signing up for an account. Just upload it and then post the download link below in your reply to me.

This issue may (and I stress the word MAY) be a mouse/driver issue. Do you have another mouse you can try?
