I am unable to open any PDF files. I have Adobe Reader X 10.1.2

Customer Question

I am unable to open any PDF files. I have Adobe Reader X 10.1.2 installed and I have selected Adobe Reader as my default program for opening all PDF files. However, every time I try to open a PDF file I get the following message:

There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (0:104).

I have tried to uninstall the program so that I may reinstall it properly. However, i get an error messsage and am unable to uninstall. Please help. I am at my wits end. I have a Windows 7 operating system. Thanks.

Hello and thank you for using this service,

To resolve this issue, disable the "Disable PDF in Browser" option.

This is located in Adobe Preferences (Edit, Preferences, Internet). With

that option UNchecked, click OK. Close Adobe Reader. Then try to re-open your document.
