I am having trouble opening Google Chrome; The following error

Customer Question

I am having trouble opening Google Chrome;
The following error message appears.

chrome.exe - Bad Image "chrome.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again"

I tried this but the same message comes up.
I tried system restore still no luck.
I will be extremely disappointed if I'm forced to use Mozilla.
I find Chrome the very best browser.

Can you help????

Hi,

Please download and run the Combofix program to scan your computer:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

If that does not work, please download and install the Revo Uninstaller program at
http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html
, then open it, and select Google Chrome, then click on Uninstall
, then select the Advanced option , then select all whenever prompted, and delete and confirm
, then restart the computer, and download and reinstall Chrome and see if it works:
https://www.google.com/chrome

Please let me know later. Thank you.

None of the above solved the problem, however I persevered and came up with the solution myself. Even the Chrome Help Forum was of no assistance!!! A very frustrating problem.
