I can not turn on my Asus eee pad transf tablet 16GB. It flashes

Resolved Question:

I can not turn on my Asus eee pad transf tablet 16GB. It flashes

My transformer Asus EEE Pad will only flash "Asus EEE Pad" when I try to turn it on. I can not get any further. Yesterday I couldn't get my tablet to turn on at all. I have charged it on and off the keyboard docking station.

Brad :

What is the exact model of the epad?

Customer:

TF101A1 tablet 16GB

Brad :

First thing that I would like you to try is to unplug the power cord from it and take out the battery for a minute. Then put the battery back and try it again

Customer:

How do I get to the battery?

Brad :

one moment

Brad :

Scratch that, this is a common problem. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds and see what it does

Customer:

I did that and it worked!

Brad :

They can be finicky little machines.

Brad :

IS there anything else

Customer:

What should I do if it does this again? Is this a normal problem that I will have to put up with from time to time? I have only had my tablet since the end of Nov., 2011

Brad :

You just repeat the process unless you want to do a full restore and that might not be a bad idea if it keeps acting up.

Brad :

In that case you hold down the power button and the volume button and it resets. Dont do that unless you have to though
